Historical Society of Antioch, California

April 23, 2015 - private event

It was an honor and a pleasure to speak at this gathering and share Delta Legend in this amazing place. Bay Area folks, if you are anywhere near Antioch—do not miss this gem of a museum. When people are determined to preserve their own history, something like this really can happen. Sorry I don't have event pics to post but Tom was busy and my mom graciously filled in as my wing man. She's great at running a book signing but candids with an iPhone are not her thing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour of the museum with Barbabra Harris and were made to feel special by Eleanor O'Donnell and the rest of the Board of Directors. Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your event.

PS I fell in love with a painting of the Delta that will stay with me until I can visit this brilliant museum again.

Author Appearance, Antioch Women's Club private event

Antioch is the gateway to the Delta and this was a really fun and engaging afternoon at the historic Riverview Lodge Restaurant. Looking out over the Carquinez Strait while reading from and speaking about Delta Legend was perfect. Also, my mom and two friends, Jane and Denise, were in attendance. I love having my mom at an event—she helps me when telling childhood stories and handles book sales! How lucky am I?

Much love and thanks to Barbara Harris and the membership of the Antioch Women's Club who made this such a lovely afternoon—wonderful lunch, a fun talk, and great questions.
